Bloomfields launched its first horsebox range in 2005, designed and built by founder Dean Moody. From humble beginnings, Dean built his first horsebox in the stable yard of his parents house (called Bloomfield), and has since gone from strength to strength. Now manufacturing horseboxes from a 12,000 square foot factory and employing over 25 of the industries most skilled and trained workforce. Being a horse owner from a young age and a trained vehicle body technician, Dean always strives to challenge the status quo of horsebox manufacture.
Bloomfields are now a world-wide recognised brand with an outstanding reputation for exceptional build quality but still offering sensible prices. Always striving to stay ahead with our innovation, Bloomfields have a team of engineers and designers who create new innovative features and test new materials to be sure that all of our horseboxes are as strong and safe as can be.
VCA Approved Product In conjunction with our VCA C.O.P (Conformity of Production) Bloomfields have VCA European Type Approval 2007/46/EC. Meaning that we have achieved the highest form of certification available for our horseboxes. Bloomfields horseboxes can be sold across Europe without further need for any inspection. Proving that Bloomfields really are at the forefront of our industry in quality and safety.
Renault Trucks Approved Bloomfields are the ONLY UK 3.5T horsebox manufacturer to be approved by Renault Trucks. This means that Renault Trucks approve all aspects of our builds and endorse us as body builders onto their Renault Master Platform cabs. Renault Trucks are the commercial vehicle specialists, dealing only in commercial vehicles, meaning that they offer the best knowledge and mechanical understanding possible for your horsebox.
DEFRA Approved For extra peace of mind, Bloomfields have each individual vehicle inspected by the FTA (Freight Transport Association) and issued with a DEFRA Approval, meaning that our horseboxes meet DEFRA standards for travelling horses in the UK upto 12 hours, with European DEFRA approvals catered for upon request. Status Tested bulkhead At Bloomfields, safety is always at the forefront. That is why we have invested heavily into strength testing our bulkhead. Consisting of over 20 meters of 50mm aluminium box section an over 5m of aluminium weld, our full passenger safety cell is believed to be the strongest on the market. STATUS who are part of the Manchester Metropolitan University, tested our bulkhead to over four times ISO27956:2009 standards. Testing was forced to stop at this point as the machinery used was to its maximum testing capabilities. We don’t just claim to have the strongest of bulkheads — we prove it!
